1. Explanation

 : '-에게서' is a particle that indicates the starting point of certain actions or the target at the beginning of specific actions. So it indicates the source of an action. Also It is used to indicate an action starts from certain people or animals.  It is attached after nouns. You can conjugate this particle with any kind of nouns. Let's look at examples.

 

2. Examples

 작년에 이사를 간 친구에게서 편지가 왔어요. (The letter came from my friend who moved last year.)

 *친구 friend

 누나에게서 전화가 왔어요. (I got a call from my older sister.)
