1. Explanation

 : '-ㄴ/는다거나' is an expression that indicate choosing one of two opposing options. It is attached after verbs, adjectives, '이다', '아니다'. But it conjugates different way.

 

  1) Verb

    '-ㄴ다거나' conjugates with vowel ending verbs or consonant 'ㄹ' ending verbs. 

    '-는다거나' conjugates with consonant ending verbs. Let's look at examples.

   2) Adjective

     Adjective stem conjugates with '-다거나'

    3) 이다, 아니다

      '-라거나' conjugates with vowel ending nouns. 

      '-이라거나' conjugates with consonanat ending nouns.

 *여행을 가다 to go on a trip

  2) It ends with a vowel 'ㅏ'

  3) It conjugates with '-ㄴ다거나'

  4) 간다거나

 

 이 이야기는 사실이라거나 거짓이거나 둘 중 하나예요. (This story is either true or false.)

 *사실 true

  1) A word '사실' is a noun

  2) It ends with a consonant 'ㄹ'

  3) It conjugates with '-이라거나'

  4) 사실이라거나

 

 수요일에 시간이 가능하다거나 불가능하다고 정확하게 알려주세요. (Please let me know precisely whether you are available or not on Wednesday.)
